2018 SUMMER STEAM CAMP WEEK 3
Monday, June 18th, 2018
After a morning and early afternoon spent on academic subjects English, math, and STEM, the students visited the beautiful Pinehurst Park just two minutes away from Cambridge Institute to unwind and release their boundless energy.
Back from the park, the students played Georgie conversing with Pennywise the Dancing Clown, or rock stars who sang on stage and squabbled with rival band members. The big kids enjoyed the taste of rock music stardom enormously.

In Broadway Musical, the kids learned all the songs that they will sing in the musical Oliver! We also started to rehearse the play, with some kids dressed in costumes.

In the afternoon, the students took practice math competition exams in Math Challenge, while learning about DNA and chromosomes in an extra science session after the practice math exams. In Creative Writing, the students were all hard at work typing up their stories on their laptops or tablets. The students in Levels 3 & 4 will complete a 3,000-word story at the end of the Summer STEAM Camp.

Before entering Castle Park for our exciting Friday field trip, the kids chowed down on pizza to have the energy for the 3 hours of great fun ahead!
At the stroke of noon, when all the rides began rolling, we entered Castle Park!
The biggest kids fearlessly hopped on the scariest rides, including Dragon's Tower, Sea Dragon, and Log Ride.
The younger kids enjoyed many different rides in the amusement park. They were all well taken of by Cambridge staff members, who drove them in ultra-comfortable air-conditioned vehicles, led them to all the different rides, and bought them cool drinks to combat the summer heat.
All the kids had an awesome time at Buccaneer's Cove.
